Recruiting

Well, the recruiters have been to the 5th grade campus.

They come from the Junior High.

And I guess they were successful.

Addison, Abigail, and Wyatt have all signed up for band.

Abigail wants to play flute.

Addison and Wyatt both want to play the trumpet.

Dax and I are researching ways to sound-proof our bedroom so that they can practice their little hearts out and there will be no ill effects on us.

I guess we'll have to let Kirsten hang out with us during practice time.

But, as pay-back, I requested that they all be tested for honor's classes. mwahaha!

I don't know what that's paying Kirsten back for but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Nobody wanted to take honor's English (just math) but there's no reason they should get to take the easy way out.

Anyway, after I signed all the papers for being in band I told Kirsten that she's our favorite, again.

Although, that spot is in peril because Wyatt only signed up to bring paper plates and napkins to the class Valentine's Day party. The girls all signed up for food. (Do brownies and cookies actually count as food?)

I played both flute and trumpet during elementary, middle and high school. I never thought about the noise of practice with more than one child playing an instrument. Hmmmm... guess I'll have to tackle that issue when my daughters are old enough to want to join the band.

Wow! Your house is really going to be one rocking party!! Three kids practicing instruments!
My husband is quite gifted musically and I have always hoped our kids inherit at least some of his ability.
And I think our house is loud now...
