We went on Thursday to the Rotary event for the kids at Christmas. Each year they do this but this is the first time we were able to go. One of the members (I think he's a member anyway) owns several train cars from the Silver Streek that used to run from Chicago to Las Angeles. The cars have been restored and he opens them up for the kids to see what passenger trains were like. He dresses like a conductor and reads The Polar Express to the kids. Then they are visited by Santa and each child receives a candy cane and a bell. I found that I must REALLY believe in Christmas because boy could I hear all of those bells ringing!! lol It was a good time and the kids really enjoyed looking in the passenger compartments in the cars.
This is one of the cabins with the seating made into the bed.
This is the same cabin with a veiw from the bed back towards the other seats.
That's the owner of the train cars in the chair by the tree. He's reading The Polar Express to the kids.
This is Wyatt with Santa. He's a Blue Santa because he 'helps' at the police department. His daughter was dressed as an elf in a great costume but I couldn't get a good picture of her.
Addison & Santa.

And finally Abigail. :0)
