New look

Kirsten has been buggin me to cut her hair. They're getting old enough now that I hate to be the one to cut it but she didn't want to go to someone else. I finally caved and cut it for her. In order to try to get it even it's a little shorter than what she wanted (but not much). She seems to be happy with it.

As a matter of fact, I had it fixed all nice and cute on Friday and she took it down as soon as she got to school. Grrr!! She's only been doing that since she was about 2! Today I didn't even bother to fix it. It's just not worth the time it takes if she's just going to take it down. (insert eye roll here).

What a week!

This has been a crazy week and I'm just pooped. On Monday night, the kids and I headed to Houston. My father had surgery on Tuesday morning so I wanted to be there for that. He had to have a tumor removed from one of his kidneys. At first they wanted to remove the whole kidney but instead were able to remove the tumor and some tissue around it. Everything went well and he's back home now (got to go home on Friday.) :0)

We drove home Tuesday night and got home late. I let the kids sleep in a little on Wednesday before waking them and getting them to school.

That made Wyatt happy.

Then of course Friday was the Valentine parties at school and I had to make cookies for each class. I actually finished those up on Friday morning.

And, to top it off we're in the process of moving all of our old files to a storage building. Heavy lifting on top of everything else. Sheesh! lol

Where does she get this.....

Some of the classes at school are having Valentine box decorating contests. Abigail decorated her box like a monkey. You put the valentine's in the opening in the heart.

Addison decided to make a bunny out of her box. She was busily working on it the other night for quite some time. Then she came to me with her completed project, beaming with pride.

Here it is....

What's that? Where do the valentine's go? you ask. Well, here of course....

Yes, right there under his fluffy little cotton tail!!
